About Us 

The Instructor: John M. Rives

is a combat veteran, as well as a retired L.A.P.D. officer and armorer.
He is DOJ, B.S.I.S. (T.T.F. 330) and
an N.R.A. Certified Instructor (T.F.F. 330)

He has a life time of experience studying, using, and teaching the use of firearms and related technology. John joined SASS in its founding year (#77) aka Dusty Rivers. He is a gentleman and a scholar (and a stand-up comedian)!

Patty is the brains of the outfit. She takes care of all the paperwork. She's also a spectacular hostess - providing complimentary freshly brewed coffee and scrumptious pastries.
